Young Leaders in Finance Awards finalists announced

Several leading brokers and mortgage players have been named as finalists in Momentum Media’s inaugural Young Leaders in Finance Awards.

Momentum Media — the publisher of Mortgage Business — has set up the awards program to uncover and celebrate the leading young professionals who are 30 years of age and under operating in the mortgages, banking, financial advice, funds management, accounting, superannuation and insurance sectors.

The finalists for the Young Leaders in Finance Awards 2018 include a number of leading brokers and players from across the mortgage industry, such as:

Mortgage Broker of the Year

Several mortgage industry players have been selected as finalists in cross-industry categories, too, including:

  • CEO of the Year - Theo Chambers (Shore Financial) and Tom Caesar (Positive Group Australia)
  • Director of the Year - Alex Veljancevski (Eventus Financial) and Dylan Salotti (Divitis Finance and Mortgage Broking)
  • Entrepreneur of the Year - Alex Veljancevski (Eventus Financial) and Theo Chambers (Shore Financial)

Some regional brokers have also made the final cut, with three Mortgage Choice brokers being named as finalists in the Regional Professional of the Year category: Jace Cordell (Mortgage Choice Newcastle and Lake Macquarie), Nicole Harman (Mortgage Choice Bendigo & Macedon Ranges) and Stephan Marohn (Mortgage Choice The Entrance).

The winners of the awards will be revealed at a black-tie event to be held at the Hyatt Regency Sydney on 22 June.

“This awards event is an Australia-first program that truly pulls together all areas of financial services under one umbrella, to celebrate the emerging talent within the industry,” said Momentum Media’s head of events, Jim Hall.   

“The winners will represent the next generation of mentors and leaders across the Australian financial sector.”
