ME names new CFO

ME has appointed a new chief financial officer to replace Gary Dickson, who is departing after six years at the non-major bank.

ME has announced the appointment of Adam Crane as its new chief financial officer, replacing Gary Dickson, who will leave the non-major bank at the end of June 2019.

The incoming CFO will commence his new role at ME on 19 August this year.

Mr Crane has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, including a seven-year stint at ANZ Bank, where he held a number of e-commerce, strategy and analyst roles.

He also held senior e-commerce and strategy roles in his 13 years at Suncorp, including as acting CFO of Suncorp’s life and wealth management business.

The appointee’s immediate previous position was CFO of Indue, a role he has held since April 2016.

Mr Crane has a bachelor of commerce, accounting and finance at James Cook University, an MBA from Queensland University of Technology, and is a certified practising accountant.

ME CEO Jamie McPhee expressed gratitude for the outgoing CFO’s contribution to the bank.

“I would like to thank Gary Dickson for his contributions over the past six years, notably for his support in driving the performance of the bank and his role as a member of ME’s executive team,” the chief executive said.

Mr McPhee also welcomed Mr Crane to the new role.

“I am excited to have Adam join at this point of ME’s journey as he brings great skills to the executive table,” he said.

Earlier this month, the non-major bank announced the appointment of Jim Evans as its new chair, as well as Peter Everingham and David Issa as board directors.
