New virtual masterclass launches for brokers

Mortgage Business is launching its first ever virtual event – the Commercial Masterclass 2020 – teaching mortgage advisers how to survive, revive and regenerate their businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic and into the future.

As the coronavirus pandemic and its affiliated social distancing rules continue to impact business and threaten the livelihoods of small businesses – including mortgage and finance brokers – learning how to navigate the changing environment is key.

Mortgage Business is therefore launching its first ever virtual event, the Mortgage Business Commercial Masterclass 2020, to help teach mortgage advisers how to survive, revive and regenerate their businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic and into the future.

Partnered by AFG, HashChing, Semper and TrailBlazer Finance, the masterclass will be led by leading business consultant and finance executive Stuart Donaldson, founder and CEO of Banyan Co, between 11am-2.30pm on Thursday, 28 May.

Join Mr Donaldson and lender specialists as they delve into risk mitigation and how to ensure your business is primed for growth, and learn how you can not only survive, but thrive, in the pandemic environment by engaging, assisting and executing the needs of SMEs.

During the course of the hands-on workshop, Mr Donaldson will:

  • Identify what action you must take right now to drive a more efficient and productive business to optimise your customer-facing time
  • Demonstrate what it takes to build out your revenue streams through diversification strategies by knowing “how” to engage SMEs and “how” to establish a sustainable, valuable relationship
  • Help you develop your skills and confidence by understanding financial statements and leveraging this knowledge to position yourself powerfully with SME customers
  • Provide insights into managing cash flow in a COVID-19 world – what does this mean for you and your SME customers, and what “extraordinary” action is required to survive and rebuild?
  • Share what the success drivers of business are and how to convey these into plain English
  • Teach you how to have powerful conversations that will identify new business opportunities and position you in the inner circle of your clients’ trusted advisers

The masterclass will also cover how lenders are helping support businesses at this time and the likely impact on EOFY.
