Former RAMS manager commences new role

Banking and wealth management group MyState Limited announced the appointment this week of its new general manager, sales and distribution.

Former general manager, RAMS franchise business, Mr Huw Bough will drive MyState Limited's sales and distribution strategy across the group’s retail banking brands, The Rock and MyState Financial, in both direct and broker channels as well MyState Wealth Management.

The appointment reflects the group’s continued focus to improve products and services to direct and third-party banking and mortgage origination channels and reinvigorates its distribution capability, MyState managing director and chief executive Melos Sulicich said.

“Huw brings a considerable breadth and depth of experience that will strengthen our sales, distribution and customer service capability in both direct and broker channels and I am confident that he will propel our efforts to invigorate our sales and customer proposition,” Sulicich said.

“What attracted me to the MyState opportunity was a sincere belief increased competition is good for consumers and the MyState brand has the potential to deliver a truly customer centric focus,” Mr Bough said.

He joins MyState from Westpac where he was general manager, RAMS franchise business.

In this role, he led the franchise channel of one of Australia's most successful non-bank lenders.

Previously, he was Westpac's general manager mortgage distribution.
