ME appoints new director

Industry super fund-owned bank ME has announced the appointment of a banking and finance lawyer to its board.

Cheryl Bart joins the non-major with a diverse non-executive director portfolio, chairing committees and boards across the utilities, funds management, auto finance and leasing, broadcast, technology and infrastructure sectors.

Ms Bart’s current non-executive directorships include SG Fleet, Audio Pixel, Football Federation Australia and Tedx Sydney.

Ms Bart was also honoured as an Officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia in 2009 for services to South Australia in economic and cultural development, leadership, work with welfare organisations and contribution to sport.

ME chairman Ken Hodgson said Ms Bart will be a “tremendous” addition to the bank’s board, bringing a wealth of experience to the organisation.

“She is an outstanding leader, and her breadth and depth of experience will assist the growth of the bank in future years,” he said.
