Credit union awarded 5-star home loan rating

The credit union’s ‘Premium Package’ Home Loan was recognised for offering borrowers a competitive rate and for providing flexible features.

Commenting on the award, Gateway Credit Union chief executive officer Paul Thomas noted that many customers don’t realise what credit unions can offer.

“We can offer consumers value across the board… as a customer-owned bank we always act in the best interest of our members,” he said.

“Receiving a five-star rating from CANSTAR for our Premium Package Variable Home Loan is extremely rewarding. We work hard to ensure our members are offered the best value products, which goes beyond simply providing products with a competitive rate.”

CANSTAR Home Loan Star Ratings uses a ratings methodology that compares both cost and features across home loan products. The five-star rating is awarded to products that present value to consumers.
