Fintech hires new members to ramp up growth

Data aggregation fintech Envestnet | Yodlee has welcomed a number of new appointments to support its expansion in Australia.

The US-headquartered fintech company, which has been growing its presence in Australia this year, has welcomed four new members to its Sydney-based team to help support its continued expansion into the region.

Envestnet | Yodlee has recently welcomed:

  • Roopak Haridasan, senior solutions consultant;
  • Tim Fairjones, account executive;
  • Nicholas Schaffer, account executive; and
  • Taner Uzelakcil, regional sales manager.

Mr Haridasan is leading the Australia team’s solution consulting capability, working closely with key Envestnet | Yodlee existing and new clients in developing solutions to assist them on their open banking journey.

He has a range of wealth and financial services experience, including at the Westpac Banking Corporation, where he led parts of their open banking compliance program, and roles at UBS and Bank of New Zealand.

Envestnet | Yodlee said his open banking experience was “vital” as the company “evolves further” into the Consumer Data Right in Australia and New Zealand in 2022.

Mr Uzelakcil has joined as a regional sales manager, focused on new markets and growing Envestnet | Yodlee’s customer base throughout the fintech arena in both Australia and New Zealand.

He was most recently business development leader at Cashrewards, a fintech that offers cashback rewards to subscribers, where he led a number of verticals.

The two new account executives will be focused on building new relationships within the fintech market, as well as working with other team members to roll out the company’s suite of open banking solutions to partners throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Mr Schaffer has experience working with broader consumer lending clients during his tenure at global human resource consulting firm Robert Half, where he managed a number of large fintech clients, while Mr Fairjones has worked at a number of large technology companies - including Thomson Reuters, MYOB, Oracle and Google - in a range of sales roles.

Speaking of the new hires, Tim Poskitt, country manager for Australia and New Zealand, commented that the quartet would help the company achieve its mission of “helping Australians become financially savvy”.

“[W]e’re expanding the sales and customer success team because we want to continue to be proactive and get the word out about how we can help firms take advantage of the digital transformation that’s happening now in financial services,” Mr Poskitt said.

Earlier this year, Envestnet | Yodlee also welcomed a new customer success and marketing director ANZ, Lauren Applegate, who was promoted from her role as customer success manager, and Brenton Bourke, an account executive working with the company’s fintech brands across the Australia and New Zealand region.
