The findings revealed that 74.3 per cent of Bendigo Bank’s business customers would recommend the regional to others, compared with fewer than 50 per cent for major bank customers.
The research showed that Bendigo Bank also topped the list for customer satisfaction.
Bendigo Bank’s retail executive, Dennis Bice, said the results reflected the bank’s staff and their focus on the success of their customers.
“Everything starts with that connection to the customer, but it’s bigger than that,” he said.
“We’ve also invested in bringing customers the latest and best digital technology, particularly our mobile payments solution, GoPos, which has been a big hit.”
Mr Bice added that while the results are pleasing, the bank does not intend to rest on its laurels.
“Our customers can expect to see some further major initiatives this year that will deliver them service and advice whenever and wherever they need it,” he said.
