Last week, the Victorian government announced ‘circuit breaker’ restrictions to curb the spread of a COVID-19 outbreak in the local community.
Under new limits to social movement, Victorians cannot leave their homes unless they need to:
- exercise;
- buy essential and necessary goods/services;
- provide or receive medical or caregiving support;
- attend authorised work or permitted study; or
- get a COVID-19 vaccination.
The measures are expected to be in place until 11.59pm on Thursday (3 June).
As such, the Victorian leg of the Better Business Summit and Better Business Awards 2021, run in partnership with NAB, has been moved.
The event, which was originally scheduled to take place during the day and evening of Thursday, 3 June, will be postponed until Wednesday, 14 July 2021.
The Adviser is following the official advice from the Australian government Department of Health and the VIC Health very closely. At this stage, there has been no direction from any official department which would impact The Adviser on holding events such as The Better Business Summit in Melbourne in July. Should circumstances change, further communications will be sent out.
Delegates who have purchased a ticket for the Better Business Summit day conference and/or the Better Business Awards at the Crown Towers Melbourne will be able to use their existing tickets to attend.
If anyone with an existing ticket is unable to attend the event on the new date of Wednesday, 14 July 2021, they may transfer their registration to a colleague or friend, or – alternatively – request a credit note.

Better Business Summit 2021
The Better Business Summit, run in partnership with NAB, is an award-winning conference and awards program for mortgage and finance professionals.

The final session of the day will hear from performance and wellness coaches as they unpack techniques to help brokers connect with their wellbeing so that they can ensure they can outperform competition, engage their intuition, and detox their day for improved work/life balance and increased professional performance.
