Industry veteran to lead Deloitte Sydney office

Deloitte Access Economics has appointed Dennis Krallis as manager of its largest Sydney office.

The 18-year veteran brings a background in risk services and hopes to help lead the way in guiding the business sector towards growth and opportunity.

“The population (in Sydney) is pushing towards five million and is projected to grow to 5.8 million by 2026; the cranes dotting the skyline are testament to our robust housing and construction activity; our services industries – financial services, tourism and education – are all seeking to benefit with parallel growth,” Mr Krallis said.

“It is important our business sector is well advised with an eye to the future and constantly shifting nature of challenge and opportunity.”

Outgoing Sydney office managing partner and recently appointed Deloitte chief strategy officer John Meacock said Mr Krallis is the right fit to lead the Sydney firm.

“He is not afraid to challenge convention, understands how to manage constant change, particularly the increasingly complex ecosystems of business,” he said.

Mr Meacock also noted Mr Krallis has directed some important alliances at Deloitte and “is an advocate of good corporate governance as an essential ingredient for efficient capital markets and investor confidence”.

Looking ahead, Mr Krallis said he aims to build on the current strong market momentum with a focus on clients.
