More than 65 finalists across lending, aggregation, broking, and tech firms are in the running for a group award at the inaugural Mortgage Business Awards.

Mortgage Business is thrilled to unveil the group finalists for its first-ever Mortgage Business Awards, which is being run with the support of principal partner and non-bank lender Resimac.

A total of 67 finalists have been chosen from across lending, aggregation, broking, and service provider companies to compete for the prestigious awards.

Contenders include major and non-major banks, mutual banks, and non-banks, as well as franchise and wholesale aggregators, technology platforms, and individual brokerages.

In December last year, Mortgage Business revealed that 42 individual finalists for the broker and loan administrator awards had been chosen across five individual categories.

In total, 109 finalists will therefore compete across 19 individual, group, innovation, and technology categories at the awards.

The winners of the Mortgage Business Awards 2023 will be announced at a gala cocktail dinner ceremony on Thursday, 27 April 2023 at Sofitel Melbourne. Click here to buy your tickets.

About the Mortgage Business Awards

The Mortgage Business Awards program recognises the top performers supporting Australia’s booming residential third-party distribution channel.

The inaugural awards highlight excellence, innovation, resilience, and the remarkable achievements of the top professionals and businesses within the third-party residential mortgage industry.

The comprehensive awards program offers recognition on a national stage and enables finalists and winners to strengthen their roles and distinguish themselves from others in the industry.

As part of their submission, entrants were asked to answer four questions by recording themselves and submitting a three-minute video.

The submissions from each of the finalists were delivered to a panel of judges, who assessed and scored each video submission.

For individual awards, the video submission makes up 100 per cent of the weighting.

For lender, aggregator, and technology finalists, the video makes up 30 per cent of the weighting. The remainder will be determined by their positioning in industry research and rankings, metrics from past broker award programs run by Mortgage Business parent company Momentum Media as well as the largest brokerage/aggregator and mortgage broker associations, the results of the Third-Party Lending Report, Broker Pulse surveys, Momentum Intelligence’s Aggregator of Choice Survey, and the Mortgage Technology survey.

The combined judging scores for each submission across each category are then tabulated, with the highest-scoring submission deemed the winner.
