Former Westpac GM to join fintech

The board of payments solution provider zipMoney has named a Westpac general manager as its new non-executive director.

Dianne Challenor will step into the new role on 1 February 2018 as general manager of global transaction services Westpac Institutional Banking, according to a statement.

In this role, Ms Challenor oversees Westpac’s global corporate and institutional service product and sales teams across both domestic and international markets.

Before joining Westpac, she was managing director and head of transaction services, Asia-Pacific, for JP Morgan between 2013 and 2016, where she was responsible for driving business in the region in the areas of cash management, liquidity and escrow services.

Prior to that, Ms Challenor was chief operations officer of Citi’s transaction bank and occupied a number of other senior positions in the Asia-Pacific region for more than 10 years.

The chairman of zipMoney, Philip Crutchfield, said that the board was delighted to welcome someone of Ms Challenor’s calibre.

“Di brings a wealth of experience in transactional services and financial governance, coupled with an outstanding track record,” Mr Crutchfield said.

“Di’s skills provide a terrific complement at board level as we continue to scale the company.”

Commenting on her own appointment, Ms Challenor said that she was excited to join the board “at such an exciting time in the growth of the company”.
