Plenti appoints new board member, chairman

ASX-listed Plenti has appointed Susan Forrester to its board as an independent non-executive director, as well as a member of its audit and risk committee.

Ms Forrester has extensive commercial, strategic and governance experience across various industries, including financial services and technology.

Her ASX-listed companies’ board experience includes her current positions as a non-executive chairman of Jumbo Interactive Ltd, a non-executive director of educational childcare services provider G8 Education Ltd, a non-executive director of telecommunications and IT solution provider Over the Wire Ltd, and a non-executive director of health club (gymnasiums) operator Viva Leisure Group.

Ms Forrester is a fellow and councillor of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. In 2019, she was awarded a Member in the General Division of the Order of Australia for significant services to business through her strategic and governance roles and for her advocacy for women.

Commenting on Ms Forrester’s appointment to the board, Plenti chairman Mary Ploughman said: “We are delighted Susan has agreed to join the Plenti board.”

“Her commercial expertise and experience, especially across technology and financial services, will add significant value to our business and complement the diversity and skills that already exist within our team.

“Susan’s experience in helping ambitious, founder-led teams achieve their goals will also be valuable to Plenti as it scales and broadens its activities.”

Ms Ploughman was appointed as an independent non-executive chairman of Plenti in July this year.

Ms Ploughman was previously the original CEO of non-bank lender Resimac, before assuming the role of joint CEO along with Scott McWilliam when Resimac and Homeloans merged in 2016.

In 2019, she announced that she would leave Resimac after 16 years of service.
