Senior Suncorp exec resigns

Suncorp Group CEO Michael Cameron has announced the resignation of the company’s chief information officer.

Matt Pancino has been responsible for Suncorp’s digital enablement, cloud and infrastructure services, programs and innovation labs. He also served as Suncorp’s head of business technology applications and CEO of Suncorp Business Services during his 10-year tenure.

Mr Pancino will leave Suncorp on 29 April.

“I would like to recognise and thank Matt for his contribution over the past five years, and wish him well in his future,” Mr Cameron said.

Suncorp’s chief transformation officer, Clayton Herbert, will act as caretaker while the group undertakes an internal and external search for a permanent replacement.

The announcement comes after Suncorp Bank appointed Scott McMullen as its new treasurer in January.

Mr McMullen was the former head of financial institutions at Citigroup Corporate and Investment Banking, and also held positions with CBA, Merill Lynch and UBS.
