Experts name best mortgage lenders

Newcastle Permanent Building Society was named Home Lender of the Year at the Mozo Experts Choice Awards 2016, while ANZ won the Major Bank Home Lender of the Year category.

ME was crowned Australia’s Best Bank, with chief executive Jamie McPhee attributing the group’s success down to simple banking with the vision of helping Australians get ahead.

“We’re delighted that our approach is being recognised by experts in our area,” Mr McPhee said.

The Best Major Bank award went to NAB, while Victoria Teachers Mutual Bank was recognised as Australia’s Best Mutual Bank.

Gateway Credit Union took out the Best Credit Union category and UBank was named Australia’s Best Online Bank.
