NSW Labor reveals new housing minister

Following the Labor Party’s victory at last month’s election, the Minns government has announced its full ministry, including the new housing minister.

Rose Jackson assumes the role of Minister for Housing, alongside her roles as the Minister for Water, Minister for Homelessness, Minister for Youth, Minister for Mental Health, and Minister for the North Coast.

Sharing news of her appointment on Twitter, Ms Jackson admitted her new role is a “huge task” but professed she is “forever grateful to be given the chance to serve.”

The Minns ministry is a reduced cabinet of 22 ministers, consisting of, for the first time in state history, 50 per cent women.
